Description: Dirty Dick is a whisky liqueur inspired by a London legend, born Nathaniel Bentley – an educated and respected shopkeeper who, after the death of his wife, no longer kept his shop clean, and as a result, he was given the new nickname Dirty Dick. This untidiness became an icon of the city, which people came to see from all over. An enterprising innkeeper bought some of the pub’s contents, including mummified rats and cats, and used them to decorate his pub, which he named Dirty Dicks. The pub is still in operation today.
